Join Dignity Health - Community Hospital of San Bernardino as an Operating Room Registered Nurse, serving as the patient’s advocate throughout the perioperative journey. You will perform comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-operative care with a focus on sterile technique and patient safety in a fast-paced surgical environment.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and scrub staff, conduct pre-operative screenings, support intraoperative safety, and provide education to patients

Qualifications

• 1 year of staff OR experience as an RN
• Graduate of accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program
• Registered Nurse: CA licensure upon hire
• Basic Life Support (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provided upon hire

Responsabilités

• Pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative assessments and hand-offs as per hospital policy
• Reassesses patient status throughout procedures and initiates rapid-response interventions
• Maintains sterile field and coordinates with surgical team for efficiency
• Identifies psycho-social, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families, providing support
• Prevents infections and adverse events through careful environment and equipment handling
• Provides clear pre-operative instructions and post-operative discharge education to patients and families
• Supports patient and family coping during the surgical process
