Job summary

Eye of Illinois Surgery Center / Maryville Eye Surgery Center (part of Quantum Vision Centers and Eyecare Partners) is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre/Post-Op in Maryville, IL. The PRN position offers flexible scheduling across 0–2 days per week with early/late shifts.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing program degree, an active RN license in Illinois, BLS, and preferably BSN and ACLS. Experience in surgical or ASC settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Nursing Program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state you will work.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• At least one year of nursing experience preferred; open to new grads.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct patient care in the operating room.
• Ensure proper techniques and practices follow accepted standards.
• Comply with HIPAA and protect patient rights.
• Practice ethically and legally within licensure.
• Supervise staff in the operating room and assist as needed.
• Immediately report unusual occurrences and document in patient records.
• Coordinate, communicate, and ensure continuity of patient care.
• Assess, prioritize, plan and implement patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in continuing education and staff meetings.
• Follow physician orders and management directions.
• Contribute to a healthy work environment.
• Assist in training new staff.
• Balance team and individual responsibilities.
