Job summary

OU Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Dean McGee Eye Institute Ambulatory Surgery Center. This PRN position provides pre- and post-operative nursing care, supports physicians, and coordinates patient flow in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, 1+ year of patient care, BLS certification, and strong communication skills. OU Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including PTO, a 401(k), and medical/dental plans.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing and BLS required.
• 1+ year of patient care experience as an RN.
• Education: RN degree as stated above.
• Ability to document and coordinate care between teams.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments.
• Assists physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed.
• Delivers care safely and communicates care plan at discharge.
• Delegates tasks to clinical support staff as needed.
