Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN for the Dean McGee Eye Institute, Ambulatory Surgery Center, PRN. The RN provides high-quality patient care in a hospital setting, aligning with OU Health's values and standards.

Responsibilities include medication administration, data monitoring, and collaboration with physicians and staff. Requires active RN license in Oklahoma and BLS certification; 1+ year of care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
• Assists physician in examination and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medication as prescribed.
• Initiates, regulates and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely and competently.
• Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner in accordance with policy.
• Informs patient and family of hospital procedures and care plan during care and discharge.
