Job summary

Chapman Auto Stores in Lancaster, PA is seeking an experienced Pre-Owned Vehicle Reconditioning Technician to join our team. You will diagnose, inspect, and repair a range of domestic and import vehicles, ensuring reliability and safety before reconditioning for sale, and you’ll document findings with digital inspection tools.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years repair experience, a PA safety inspection license, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must have valid PA State Safety Inspection and Emissions licenses (current and in good standing).
• Ford dealership or certified training experience strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of professional automotive repair and diagnostic experience (multi-line or pre-owned recon background preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort servicing diverse makes, models, and model years.
• Thorough understanding of multi-point inspection processes and ability to record concise vehicle video walkthroughs.
• Own set of professional automotive diagnostic equipment and hand/air/power tools.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Valid driverls license with a clean, insurable driving record.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards of workmanship and team communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles to ensure reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with service management and the sales department to streamline inventory turnover.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Pre-Owned Vehicle Reconditioning Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be a vital contributor to our inventory turnaround, collaborating directly with service management and the sales department to ensure every pre-owned vehicle meets high standards of mechanical reliability and safety. You should be confident diagnosing, inspecting, and repairing a wide variety of domestic and import makes and models, as well as communicating findings clearly using modern digital inspection tools.
