Job summary

Toyota of Santa Barbara is seeking a Pre-owned reconditioning Service Technician to join our busy, high-volume team in Goleta. You will work across a wide range of brands and models, performing repairs with efficiency and communicating with the Pre-Owned manager about any needed follow-up work.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in automotive service, ASE and SMOG credentials are a plus, and a valid driver's license. We offer competitive wages, ongoing training, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years automotive dealership experience.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• SMOG license is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Inspect vehicles for needed repair to make vehicles front-line ready.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Pre-Owned manager so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Reconditioning Service Technician Responsibilities

• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

Pay Range: $25-$50 hourly
