Job summary

Group 1 Toyota Bowie, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking a Used Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to grow our pre-owned inventory by engaging service customers with follow-up calls and in-person conversations. You will identify opportunities for selling or trading and smoothly hand off to the Sales team.

This role offers hourly compensation plus commission and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, 401(k), PTO, and a stock purchase program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous automotive sales, customer service, hospitality, or presentation experience is preferred.
• Vehicle appraisal experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
• Comfortable using dealership software, CRM systems, tablets, and smartphones.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential trade-in and vehicle acquisition opportunities with customers visiting the Service Department.
• Make outbound follow-up calls to service customers.
• Build rapport and create interest in vehicle evaluations for purchase or trade.
• Schedule vehicle appraisal and acquisition appointments.
• Maintain consistent and professional follow-up with prospective customers.
• Accurately document customer interactions, appointments, and follow-up activity.
• Partner with Sales and Used Vehicle teams for a smooth handoff to the sales process.
• Deliver a friendly, professional, and low-pressure customer experience.
