Job summary

Group 1 Honda Owings Mills, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking a Used Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to grow pre-owned inventory by engaging service customers. You will follow up with customers in person or by call to identify opportunities for selling or trading their current vehicle, then smoothly transition them to the Sales team.

This role is not traditional vehicle sales; you will build rapport, create interest and provide a positive customer experience, working with a fast-paced

Qualifications

• BDC or customer service or appointment-setting experience preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Engage with service department customers to identify trade-in and vehicle acquisition opportunities.
• Make outbound follow-up calls to current and previous service customers.
• Build rapport with customers and create interest in vehicle purchase or trade.
• Schedule vehicle appraisal and acquisition appointments.
• Maintain consistent and professional follow-up with prospective customers.
• Document customer interactions, appointments and follow-up activity.
• Partner with Sales and Used Vehicle teams to ensure smooth handoffs.
• Deliver a friendly, professional, low-pressure customer experience.
