Pre-Owned Sales Specialist will sell pre-owned vehicles. This role learns the buyer’s needs and guides them through the cars on the lot with optimal efficiency. Pre-Owned Sales Specialist must have professional knowledge of all the cars displayed on the lot and must be able to negotiate and discuss prices, warranties, incentives, etc.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid California driver’s license and insurable
• Valid California Car Salesperson license
• Prior sales experience is a plus
• Basic understanding of vehicle financing
• Tekion experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Dealersocket CRM preferred
• Effective relationship-building skills
• Post -sale relationship management skills
• Effective written and verbal communication with customers, employees, and business partners
• Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, superior time management skills, ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to adapt to the demands of business needs

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain product knowledge by understanding the characteristics, capabilities, and features of vehicles sold by O’GARA, comparing them with competitive models, and participating in educational and training opportunities
• Qualify prospective buyers and demonstrate vehicles by identifying customer needs and interests, explaining vehicle features, capabilities, warranties, and services, and conducting test drives
• Close vehicle sales by addressing customer objections, negotiating pricing, and helping customers complete the purchasing process
• Coordinate vehicle delivery and complete required documentation by following established delivery procedures, ensuring customers understand vehicle operating features and applicable warranties, and accurately preparing and processing all required sales and delivery paperwork, including desk deals, in compliance with company requirements
• Build customer relationships and generate repeat and referral business by maintaining a follow‑up system, developing long‑term client relationships, identifying trade‑in opportunities, engaging with community prospects, greeting walk‑in customers, responding to inquiries, and recommending sales campaigns and promotions
• Provide sales reports and information to the Pre-Owned Sales Manager as required
• Enhance O’GARA’s reputation and business performance by taking ownership of responsibilities, responding positively to new requests, and identifying opportunities to add value to the organization
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management
