The Preoperative Registered Nurse works as a professionalpractitioner employed by Amergis Healthcare Staffing and assumes theresponsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing processand the delivery of patient care in the preoperative setting. The Preoperative Registered Nurse demonstratesthe ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient mannerwith supervision.

The Preoperative Registered Nurse demonstrates criticalthinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care andconsistently performs according to nursing standards. The Preoperative Registered Nurse isaccountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management ofthe preoperative patient.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices required


• One year of preoperative experience preferred


• Current CPR if applicable


• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable


• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)


• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice


• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements


• Must be at least 18 years of age
