Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Fairfield, CA. The RN will care for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitor vitals, and ensure safe awakening from anesthesia, with attention to sedation levels.

Minimum requirements include CA RN licensure and PACU experience; CPAN or CAPA and ACLS/PALS certifications are preferred. Benefits include comprehensive insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• One year PACU experience preferred.
• CPAN or CAPA certification preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications per contract requirements.

• Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring in PACU.
• Observe vital signs, ensure safe awakening from anesthesia, and manage sedation.
• Identify and respond to adverse events or complications.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards of practice.

Location: Fairfield, CA

The post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN cares for patients who have under gone anesthesia. The post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN is responsible for observing and treating a patient postoperation and making sure that they safely awake from anesthesia. The post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN must monitor vital signs and levels of consciousness to make sure that the sedation is wearing off properly, there are no adverse reactions occurring and patients are regaining consciousness.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the state in which RN is working.




• One year PACU experience preferred




• CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) or CAPA (Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse) certification preferred




• ACLS and PALS certification per contract requirements




• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice




• Current CPR if applicable




• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable




• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)




• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements




• Must be at least 18 years of age
