Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Pre-op/Stepdown Nurse to provide nursing care in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting.

The RN will act as a patient advocate, ensuring continuity of care and collaboration with the healthcare team across adult, pediatric, neonatal, and geriatric patients. Required are an accredited nursing program graduate, current RN license, CPR and PALS certifications, and at least one year of pre-, intra-, and post-operative care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• PALS certification required.
• Minimum one year in pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative surgical patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting.
• Act as patient advocate and ensure continuity of care through collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Assess perioperative needs of patients across age groups and provide individualized care.

JOB TITLE: Pre-op/ Stepdown Nurse

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and centers policies. To act as patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals. The Nurse will assess the perioperative needs of individual patients including but not limited to adult, pediatric, neonatal and adolescent patients and geriatric patients.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current state RN License.
• CPR required.
• PALS required.
• Minimum one year in pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative surgical patient care
