Job summary

Lexington Health in Columbia, SC is seeking a registered nurse to join the Pre-Op team on a PRN AM/PM shift. The RN will utilize the nursing process to promote and restore patient health status, collaborate with physicians, and provide support to patients and families.

Responsibilities include patient education, documentation, and adherence to nursing standards and hospital policies. Experience in critical care, med/surg, or ED preferred; SC RN licensure required.

Qualifications

• ADN, Diploma or BSN required.
• Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Establishes positive rapport with patient and family.
• Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Educates patients and families about condition, medications, and self-care.
• Documents all patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols.
