Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Part Time II Second Shift Registered Nurse in Pre-Op to prepare patients for surgery and support perioperative care. You will assess needs, develop care plans, provide direct care, and supervise care delivery in a fast-paced surgical unit.

The role requires BLS, Kentucky RN licensure, and a nursing degree. On-call duties apply on weekends and holidays as scheduled. A supportive team and focus on safety and compassionate care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• BLS certification required; obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and develop care plans.
• Provide direct patient care in Pre-Op.
• Manage patient care delivery and coordination.
• Demonstrate leadership and support quality care.
• Maintain a healing environment and strong patient relations.
• On-call weekends/holidays by rotation.
• Support OR staff before/during/after surgery.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and clinical judgment.
