Job summary

Madera Community Hospital in the heart of Central California is seeking an Outpatient Surgery Clinical Coordinator. This registered nurse-led role oversees a work unit, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care from admission to discharge.

You will supervise professionals and support staff, partner with anesthesia and surgeons, and drive cost-effective operations while maintaining a therapeutic environment and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires California Registered Nurse license.
• Current American Heart Association BCLS certification.
• CPAC certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Basic Arrhythmia Course Certificate.
• Prefer minimum four years outpatient surgery or operating room experience with one year in a management or charge position.
• Requires Leadership experience, with strong written and verbal communication and computer skills.
• Demonstrated organizational, planning, leadership and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a specific Outpatient Surgery work unit and supervise staff.
• Ensure productive, cost-effective, high-quality patient care from admission to discharge.
• Collaborate with Anesthesiology and Surgeon teams to anticipate department needs.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, anesthesia and surgeons.
• Foster teamwork and professional development within the unit.
