Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital – Main Campus is seeking an experienced PACU nurse to provide direct post-anesthesia care on a 90-bed unit. You will work 4/10-hour shifts Monday through Friday, starting at 5:30 AM, with 24 hours of call per schedule and opportunities to cross-train and advance on the BJC RN Career Ladder.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• PACU/critical care experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Promotes patient and family centered care and educates on home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in patient safety and quality initiatives and professional development.
• Develops and documents plans of care with interprofessional team and families.
• Assesses patient needs and communicates plan across continuum of care.
