Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is seeking an experienced Advanced Care Registered Nurse ECMO Specialist to provide daily staffing for Extracorporeal life support services in the CVICU. The role requires graduate nursing education, Alabama RN licensure, and experience in critical care with ECMO patient management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for the unit.
• RN license current in Alabama or eNLC multistate license.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge to care for patients with high-intensity needs and complex assessment.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment (ECMO, monitors, ventilators) and records data.
• Collaborates with physicians and inter interdisciplinary team to plan and manage patient care.
• Acts as a preceptor, unit educator, or nurse clinician as needed.
• Ensures patient safety and adheres to regulatory standards.
