Job summary

Eye Surgery Center of Nashville is seeking a Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia. You will assess, plan, and implement care across pre-op and post-op areas, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

Candidates must be an RN with an unrestricted state license, a graduate of an accredited nursing program, and 1–3 years in PreOP/PACU, with BLS and ALS current.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–3 years' experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ALS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Willing to cross-train to circulate and work in pre-op/post-op.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity of care for patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care with emphasis on safety, comfort and privacy.
• Deliver total comprehensive patient care across pre-op and PACU settings.

Pre Op PACU RN at Eye Surgery Center of Nashville

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a candidate who is willing to cross-train to circulate as well as work in both pre-op and post-op areas.


• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state


• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing


• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU


• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred


• Must have current BLS, ALS


• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
