Job summary

Franklin Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Pre-op/PACU to deliver safe, patient-centered perioperative care in a busy outpatient setting. The RN will provide quality care from pre-op through PACU and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure excellent outcomes.

A $20k sign-on bonus is available, and weekends, holidays, and on-call are not required. TN RN license, BLS/ACLS, and pediatric experience are preferred; strong teamwork and patient-family communication

Qualifications

• TN RN license required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–3 years experience in Pre/Post operative care or ICU.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• PALS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Aseptic technique knowledge and implementation.
• Team player with good communication with staff, patients, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality pre-op and PACU nursing care.
• Coordinate perioperative care with physicians, staff and patients.
• Maintain patient safety and adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Support mission and values of the center.

Registered Nurse Pre op PACU at Franklin Surgery Center

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in TN
• Strong Pediatric experience required
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in Pre and/or post operative care or ICU.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS and ACLS certification
• Current PALS preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
