Job summary

Revo Health’s Plymouth Orthopedic Surgery Center is seeking a part-time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality care across Pre-Op, PACU, and Phase II settings.

The RN will perform preoperative assessments, educate patients, coordinate with the surgical team, document findings, and provide post-operative care and family support. MN or WI RN license required; ACLS/PALS/CPR and 1 year PACU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school of registered nursing.
• Current licensure as an RN in the State of MN or WI (multi-state) required.
• One year of PACU or critical care nursing experience in the last 5 years preferred.
• CPR/ACLS/PALS certification required or completed upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural, educational, and developmental dimensions of the patient from pre-op phone call through discharge.
• Evaluate and document patient condition and responses to interventions; communicate information.
• Complete pre-operative phone calls, H&P reviews, and provide admission instructions.
• Provide high-quality preoperative and postoperative nursing care, education, care coordination, and collaboration with the surgical team.
• Assess needs and equipment for pain management procedures and physician preferences.
• Complete postoperative phone calls and provide care/direction as appropriate.
• Develop individualized plan of care based on nursing assessment and medical knowledge.
• Collaborate across disciplines to maximize patient outcomes and smooth perioperative flow.

Education

NLN accredited school of registered nursing

RN licensure in MN or WI (multi-state)
