Job summary

Surgery Center of Columbia, an outpatient surgical facility, seeks a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care before and after surgery. The RN will plan, direct, and coordinate nursing care, caring for patients from 1 month to geriatric in a fast-paced environment.

Position is full-time, weekdays only with some later evenings; holidays and weekends are not required. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• ACLS Required.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

As a Pre-Op/Post-Op Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth surgical operations.

The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre or post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He / she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for all ages from 1 month to geriatric. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.
