Job summary

Briarcliff Ambulatory Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, Inc (USPI), seeks a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to coordinate nursing care for pre- and post-operative patients. The RN will ensure high-quality, safe care in a state-of-the-art ambulatory setting.

Position is weekday-only with no holidays, weekends, or on-call, though some evenings may be required. Requires an active RN license and ACLS certification; graduates of accredited RN programs are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• ACLS required.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for pre- or post-surgical patients.
• Ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care following standards.
• Cares for patients from 1 month to geriatric across shifts; weekdays only.

Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse at Briarcliff Ambulatory Surgery Center

The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre or post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He / she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for all ages from 1 month to geriatric.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• ACLS Required
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
