Community Health Systems in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse - Pre-Op for Grandview Orthopedic Surgery Center. This part-time position involves patient-centered pre-operative care, coordination with physicians, and adherence to clinical protocols.

The RN will administer medications, monitor patient status, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient surgical preparation and optimal outcomes.

Qualificações

• Proven ability to provide patient-centered care in line with nursing process.
• Experience administering prescribed medications and documenting administration.
• Strong knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Ability to educate patients and families about procedures and post-care.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality pre-operative nursing care.
• Assess patients, document findings, and communicate changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within scope of competency.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control protocols and safe clinical environment.
