Job summary

Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL, seeks an RN for Pre/Post Op with 1+ years of experience preferred. The unit operates 5 8-hour shifts, Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3:00pm.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN license required in state or compact license.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process and policies.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborates with the care team to implement individualized care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatment, and post-discharge care.
