Job summary

Grandview Medical Center - Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and support families.

You will assess patients, document findings, administer medications, assist in procedures, and contribute to orthopedics care from pre-op to post-op while upholding infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care required.
• RN licensure; BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in orthopedics care a plus.
• Ability to follow established clinical protocols and orders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Documents assessments and changes in condition clearly and promptly.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency and scope.
• Educates patients and families on conditions and discharge plans.
• Adheres to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Participates in audits, chart reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
