Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners in Livonia, Michigan seeks a Pre-Assessment Testing Nurse to guide patients through the pre-op process with excellent communication and leadership. Qualifications

• A current valid RN or LPN license in the state of practice is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.
• Certification is required. Typically 1 year of RN/LPN ambulatory experience; PALS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all required documents/tests are on charts 1–3 days before the procedure.
• Obtain a full patient health assessment and complete medication reconciliation.
• Follow admission criteria set forth by Medical Director and organization.
• Ensure BMI guidelines are followed.
• Assist patients with completing a pre-assessment module in Passport 1–3 days before surgery.
• Maintain PAT files on all outpatient surgeries.
• Act as liaison among health care team to coordinate high-quality care.
• Provide nursing care in pre-op as directed by medical staff and PAT protocol.
• Provide leadership and critical thinking in daily tasks.
• Greet and assist patients, visitors, physicians, and staff as needed.
