Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead Preoperative Registered Nurse to guide the preoperative nursing team and coordinate patient assessments for surgical procedures.

You will ensure patient safety, streamline workflows, and uphold high standards of care in a fast-paced environment. You will lead a team, supervise clinical activities, and collaborate with surgical staff to optimize patient flow and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license in the applicable state.
• Extensive perioperative/surgical nursing experience.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
• Ability to perform comprehensive preoperative assessments.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the preoperative nursing team, ensuring adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations using EMR systems.
• Prepare patients for surgery by verifying consent forms and administering medications.
• Coordinate with surgical teams to schedule procedures and manage patient flow.
• Oversee documentation of medical records and coding accuracy.
• Implement infection control practices during sterile processing and specimen collection.
