Job summary

NorthStar Memorial Group seeks a Community Development Advisor to drive pre-need sales in the Nashville market, educating families about cemetery products, services and planned arrangements.

The role builds relationships with churches and community groups, schedules seminars, leads presentations, and uses CRM to track contacts and appointments while delivering world-class service. Must travel and stay current on regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of regulations related to cemetery and funeral industry.

Responsibilities

• Actively builds relationships in the community to educate and guide families in their preplanning decisions.
• Excels in setting appointments and presenting preplanning guides and product presentations.
• Provides professional park tours of each location within their area.
• Completes paperwork timely and accurately for contract processing.
• Tracks all sales activity and CRM follow-ups.
• Uses CRM to track all contacts and ensure professional follow-up.
• Contacts new and existing customers to discuss how products meet needs.
• Prospects daily using multiple methods including cold calling, door knocking, mailers, seminars, and events.
• Delivers world-class customer service with a positive attitude.
• Keeps current on veteran benefits, social security, end-of-life decisions, etc.
• Builds relationships with churches, civic groups, veteran organizations and senior living communities; schedules seminars accordingly.
• Works multiple prospecting avenues in line with NorthStar’s sales playbook.
• Schedules 10-12 pre-need appointments weekly and tracks them in the CRM.
• Answers inquiries about cemetery products and services pre-need planning.
• Attends training programs with sales leaders and regional leadership.
