Job summary

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Community Development Advisor for SouthPark Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematory in Pearland, TX. The role focuses on pre-need planning, educating families, and building trust through community engagement.

The ideal candidate will schedule seminars, set 10–12 pre-need appointments weekly, manage CRM records, and stay informed on veteran and Social Security benefits to guide families with compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• Willingness to learn cemetery and funeral regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time independently and prospect daily.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with churches, civic groups, veteran organizations, hospice partners, senior living communities, and other local groups.
• Schedule and conduct educational preplanning seminars per NorthStar program.
• Set appointments and guide families through personalized preplanning and product presentations.
• Provide professional and welcoming tours of the park.
• Prospect daily via seminars, web leads, events, and community outreach.
• Schedule 10–12 qualified pre-need appointments per week and log activity in CRM.
• Respond to phone inquiries and follow up professionally.
• Maintain accurate contract paperwork and documentation.
• Track performance metrics and refine approach.
• Stay current on veteran benefits, Social Security benefits, and end-of-life planning considerations.
• Deliver world-class service with a positive attitude and “whatever it takes” mindset.
• Participate in ongoing training with sales and regional leadership.
