Pre‑Litigation Paralegal

Laborde Earles Injury Lawyers is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support attorneys during the Pre‑Litigation phase of personal injury matters.

The Opportunity

Expand your career by delivering superior client service and advocating for clients when interacting with third parties. You will communicate with a diverse client base, thất maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and ensure case files are accurate and complete.

Objective

Serve clients and support the case‑handling attorney throughout the Pre‑Litigation phase of all assigned matters.

Desired Outcomes
  • Provide the best possible customer service and advocacy to clients when working with any third parties.
  • Contact clients at least every 20 days to give case updates and check in regarding:
    • Clients’ current status and any additional support needed.
    • Status of medical treatment.
    • Satisfaction with Laborde Earles’ handling of the case.
  • Contact third parties such as medical providers and insurance companies on behalf of the client.
  • Ensure that all matters assigned are handled quickly, accurately, and thoughtfully from case sign‑up through settlement.
  • Follow the Litify Matter Plan for each matter assigned and complete each task on time, accurately, and completely.
  • Ensure all data is properly and accurately entered into the case‑management software (Litify).
  • Organize, save, and file all matter‑related documents.
  • Draft, send, fax, and/or email correspondence and supporting documents.
  • Track case expenses (copy and postage charges) and enter them cunt into Litify for each client.
  • Respond to and complete tasks assigned by the handling attorney promptly.
  • Complete all Litify Matter Plan tasks on time.

Education and Experience
  • College degree preferred.

  • Previous experience within the legal, medical, or insurance (@industry).
  • Strong computer and keyboarding experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
