TopDog Law is seeking a motivated paralegal/legal assistant to join our rapidly growing personal injury team. You will assist attorneys and case managers in reviewing records, organizing evidence, and preparing demand packages to maximize claim value throughout the pre-litigation process.

You will act as a primary client contact, gather documentation, and communicate with insurance carriers while maintaining confidentiality and ethics.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience supporting Personal Injury pre-litigation matters on cases in Louisiana.
• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate (not required) is a plus.
• Experience with case management software and high-volume settings.

Responsabilités

• Assist attorneys and case managers in reviewing and assessing merits of Personal Injury claims by organizing, reviewing, and summarizing records and evidence for early case evaluation and valuation.
• Support development of claims from intake through resolution by gathering documentation, summarizing liability and damages, and ensuring complete case files.
• Prepare and organize demand packages, including medical summaries, billing summaries, liability documentation, and supporting evidence to maximize claim value and facilitate negotiations.
• Serve as a primary contact for clients during the pre-litigation phase, providing updates and maintaining communication.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to confirm coverage and track claim status.

What You Will Own

• Assist attorneys and case managers in reviewing and assessing the merits of clients’ Personal Injury claims by organizing, reviewing, and summarizing records, documents, and evidence to support early case evaluation and valuation

• Prepare and organize demand packages, including medical summaries, billing summaries, liability documentation, and supporting evidence to maximize claim value and facilitate negotiations
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during the pre‑litigation phase, providing updates, requesting documentation, explaining processes, and maintaining compassionate, consistent communication
• Communicate with insurance carriers to confirm coverage, provide documentation, track claim status, and assist attorneys in negotiating settlements
• Maintain organized electronic case files, track deadlines and treatment progress, update case management systems, and ensure all pre‑litigation milestones are met efficiently
• Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with all applicable legal rules, firm policies, and regulatory requirements

Required

• 2–6 years of experience supporting Personal Injury pre‑litigation matters on cases in Louisiana
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage a high‑volume caseload in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience requesting, reviewing, and summarizing medical records and bills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating with a team

Preferred (Nice To Have)

• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate (not required)
• Experience in a high‑volume or fast‑growing law firm
• Familiarity with Personal Injury claims processes and insurance procedures
• Experience with case management software (e.g., Filevine, Clio, SmartAdvocate)
• Comfort working in evolving systems and processes

What We Offer

• Base Salary: $55,000.00 and $75,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience (Remote, Louisiana)
• Eligible for performance‑based bonus
