The Goddard School located in Louisville, Colorado is seeking a passionate pre-K teacher. Our teachers work in teams of THREE, exceeding state ratio requirements. We prefer candidates with preschool or pre-K experience or a degree in Elementary Education. Retired public school teachers are welcome, though hours may be longer than traditional school days. Importantly, there are NO evenings or weekends required!

Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction:
  • Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
  • Foster a love of learning through creative teaching methods
  • Observe and assess children's development and adjust activities accordingly
• Classroom Management:
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage routines and transitions smoothly
  • Address behavioral issues with positive guidance
• Family Communication:
  • Maintain open communication with parents about progress and activities
  • Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide updates
  • Encourage family involvement
• Health and Safety:
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom
  • Follow health and safety guidelines
  • Supervise children during activities to ensure safety
• Professional Development:
  • Participate in ongoing training
  • Stay current with best practices in early childhood education
  • Collaborate with colleagues

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education preferred
• Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
• 1-2 years experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
