Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have 48 semester hours from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess SBEC paraprofessional certificate or be eligible to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with reinforcing instruction and support targeted students individually or in groups.
• Prepare extension lessons and integrate technology and educational media.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests and assignments.
• Support teachers, technology staff, and librarian during scheduled times.
• Participate in selecting and organizing instructional materials and displays.
• Provide orientation to substitute teachers and maintain daily attendance responsibilities.
• Be available to work virtually and participate in a virtual classroom environment as assigned.
