Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking Teacher Assistant I - Pre-Kindergarten to support classroom teachers in a Pre-K setting for the 2026-2027 year. Position involves assisting with instruction, classroom management, and student supervision to promote literacy, math, and social-emotional development.

Under supervision, you will reinforce instructional materials, support students with special needs, and participate in IEP processes as needed. Grant-funded roles may be contingency-based in some campuses.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Educational Aide Certificate required or pursuing certification.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities to meet instructional goals.
• Support individualized education plans (IEP) and inclusion efforts.
• Assist with record-keeping and assessment administration.
• Provide supervision in non-instructional areas and during field trips.
• Assist with parent contact to foster involvement.
