Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional Educator to support teachers and students in classroom settings in Georgia. The role involves working with students individually or in small groups, reinforcing instruction and assisting with classroom management.

You will assist with supervision, provide instructional support as prescribed by teachers, and help prepare materials to facilitate learning and assess progress.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED and passed Praxis Parapro or GACE Parapro
• 60 semester or 90 quarter hours from a PSC-approved college or university (in lieu of assessments)

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and students by working with students individually or in small groups, reinforcing instruction and promoting learning.
• Assist teachers in supervising learning activities, circulating within the classroom, and providing learning support.
• Provide instruction to students as prescribed by the supervising teacher and reinforce skills introduced by the teacher.
• Assist in preparing lesson plans and learning tools and in documenting student progress.
