Job summary

The City of San Antonio’s Pre-K 4 SA program seeks qualified teachers to plan and deliver engaging early childhood lessons at Education Centers. This role focuses on promoting communication, math and reading skills, and a strong foundation for continued education in four-year-olds.

Responsibilities include assessing development, engaging families, maintaining classroom environments, and collaborating with staff to support the whole child in diverse education centers across the city.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Valid teaching certificate with endorsements to teach early childhood education.
• Valid Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging early childhood lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Assess developmental needs and tailor activities for individual students.
• Promote social, physical, and intellectual growth of four-year-olds.
• Communicate with parents through meetings, newsletters, and conferences.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment and positive behavior guidance.
• Coordinate with aides and center staff to support student learning.
