Job summary

Children's Lighthouse of New Braunfels is seeking a dedicated preschool educator to implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum for 4-year-olds and to foster a positive classroom environment. You will support children's development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains and lead daily activities aligned with our standards.

The role requires teamwork, reliable communication with parents, and adherence to health, safety, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Preschool or Pre-K teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with 4-year-old children strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Caring, patient, dependable, and energetic personality.
• Ability to work effectively with a classroom team.

Responsibilities

• Implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Create a structured and positive classroom environment.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Lead daily learning activities, including early literacy, math, science, art, and hands-on learning.
• Follow the school's curriculum and learning standards.
• Maintain accurate classroom records and required documentation.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding their child's development and daily experiences.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Supervise children at all times and follow health and safety procedures.
• Guide children's behavior using positive classroom management techniques.
• Collaborate with classroom assistants and other staff members.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
• Follow all Texas childcare licensing requirements and company policies.
