Job summary

MSAD 75 is looking for a Pre-K Itinerant Paraprofessional to support early learners across Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham. The role runs 8:30am–12:30pm, Monday–Friday, with compensation of $23.68–$28.04 per hour based on certification, experience and BHP eligibility.

The paraprofessional works under supervision of general education teachers and collaborates with school staff to foster inclusive learning environments and assist with IEP goals.

Qualifications

• State of Maine DOE certification for educational technicians is required.
• CHRC background check is mandatory for application.
• BHP certification or ability to obtain is required.
• Mandt training or ability to obtain is required.
• Strong behavioral management and ability to follow positive behavior support plans.
• Proven record keeping skills and teamwork capability.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by modifying materials and supporting instructional activities.
• Reinforce learning with students in academic, social, and behavioral areas.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and on field trips.
• Support students with daily living activities and participate in staff development.
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring of IEP goals.

Education

State of Maine Department of Education Educational Technician I, II or III Certification

State of Maine Department of Education Background Check (CHRC) authorization

Mandt trained or ability to obtain

Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Certification or ability to obtain
