Job summary

Alpha seeks a full-time Pre-K teacher to design joyful, sensory-rich experiences that build early literacy, numeracy, and social development. You will foster emotional safety and strong relationships, observing progress in real time to tailor learning for each child.

Role is on-site in Manhattan, NY or Chicago, IL with relocation assistance. Requires at least 2 years with 3-5 year olds and an appropriate U.S. teaching credential or associate's degree.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or state teaching license/certification.
• At least 2 years of experience with 3–5 year olds in a play-based classroom.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Montessori certificate or Reading Specialist experience preferred for Chicago opening.

Responsibilities

• Design joyful, sensory-rich learning experiences to build early literacy and numeracy.
• Create a classroom where every child feels emotionally safe and excited to learn.
• Observe development in real time, document progress, personalize learning.
• Adjust activities to each child's interests and needs to foster progress.
• Partner with families to share growth and support development beyond the classroom.
