Job summary

Alpha is hiring for full-time, on-site Pre-K guide positions in Manhattan, New York, or Chicago, Illinois. You will design rich, play-based experiences that foster early literacy, numeracy, and social development while ensuring emotional safety and curiosity.

We offer relocation assistance and a compensation level of $120,000 USD per year, with weekly pay. A Montessori certificate is a plus for the Chicago location, and experience with structured assessment tools is valued.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of experience with children ages 3-5 in a play-based setting.
• Associate's degree or higher or a U.S. teaching license/certification.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• For Chicago opening, Montessori certificate or Reading Specialist experience.

Responsibilities

• Design joyful, sensory-rich learning experiences building early literacy and numeracy.
• Create a classroom where every child feels emotionally safe and eager to learn.
• Observe development in real time and personalize learning.
• Adjust activities to each child's interests and development needs.
• Partner with families to share growth and support development outside the classroom.
