Job summary

Spruce Mountain Primary School in Maine is hiring an Educational Technician I for Pre K on a part-time schedule (5 hours/day, 4 days/week). The role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs, implementing IEPs and behavior plans, and collaborating with the special education team and Pre K teachers.

Training will be provided. Eligible applicants must obtain or hold Maine DOE authorization as an Educational Technician I and comply with CHRC requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible and apply for or have authorization as an educational technician I through the Maine Department of Education (MDOE).
• Maine State Law requires all school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) for the Department of Education.
• Experience working with students who have social and emotional challenges

Responsibilities

• Support Pre K students in regular and special education settings, in small groups and one-on-one.
• Collaborate with the special education team and Pre K teachers to manage student behaviors, implement IEPs and behavior plans.
