Job summary

Alabama State Department of Education seeks a Pre-K Auxiliary Teacher to support the instructional program in early childhood education. You will assist the Lead Teacher in delivering lessons, managing the classroom, and implementing individual plans for students.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the Lead Teacher, maintaining records, supervising students, and ensuring a safe, respectful learning environment in the Pre-K setting.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Recognized Equivalent.
CDA credential or 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from a regionally accredited institution.

Responsibilities

Assists with instruction of assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Collaborates with the Lead Teacher to provide a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
Maintains accurate, complete records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
Assists with supervision of students during drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips.
Assists Lead Teacher in assessing student progress and completes required documentation.
