Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a school‑age program or teaching setting preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
• Level 2 PDIS in Colorado Shines.
• To meet Colorado licensing requirements, you must be at least 21 years old and meet ONE of the following: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least 2 years of college and 910+ hours of verified experience; or 3 years of verified experience + 6 college credits OR 40 hours of training related to school‑age care.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation.
• Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations.
• Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards.
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections.
• Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements.
• Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met.
• Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events.
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success.
