Job summary

AlphaBEST Education is seeking a Pre-K Site Director at Lopez Elementary School in Fort Collins, CO. You will lead our before- and after-school program, manage daily site operations, and ensure safety and licensing compliance while delivering high-quality student and family experiences.

You'll supervise staff, schedule activities, monitor attendance and food program requirements, and build strong relationships with families and school partners.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a school-age program or teaching setting preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations.
• Maintain safe, inclusive environment aligned with licensing and AlphaBEST standards.
• Ensure child safety remains the top priority at all times.
• Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections.
• Track attendance, food program requirements, and site resources.
• Supervise and mentor site team, provide coaching and training.
• Represent AlphaBEST professionally at school and community events.
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership.

Location: Lopez Elementary School; 637 Wabash St, Fort Collins, CO 80526

Schedule: Monday‑Friday AM/PM Split shift (6:30 am‑8:30 am and/or 2:00 pm ‑ 6:00 pm)

As an AlphaBEST Site Director, you'll lead a meaningful before and after‑school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• At least 3 years of experience in a school‑age program or teaching setting preferred
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
• Level 2 PDIS in Colorado Shines

• To meet Colorado licensing requirements, you must be at least 21 years old and meet ONE of the following:

  *A Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, recreation, child development, etc.)
  *At least 2 years of college and 910+ hours of verified experience working with kids (ages 4+)
  *Or 3 years of verified experience + 6 college credit hours OR 40 hours of training related to school‑age care
