Job summary

BMAC is seeking an Employment Training Coordinator to help individuals in our community become workforce ready and support their placement in jobs across our region. The role focuses on Pre-Employment Transition Services for youth with disabilities, coordinating instruction and work-based learning opportunities, and developing employer partnerships.

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• One year of relevant work experience in human services delivery, social work, case management, or other client service delivery.
• Experience developing employer partnerships, coordinating work-based learning or workforce development programs, or providing education or vocational rehabilitation services is preferred.
• Experience working with secondary students or young adults with disabilities strongly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of all steps in client assessment, enrollment, job placement, employment training, and outcome documentation by providing training, supervision, and resources to Employment Training staff.
• Develop relationships with local businesses for employment opportunity referrals and establish training objectives with employers.
• Provide job counseling and follow-up services; monitor progress toward goals in the training/service plan.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, industries, nonprofit organizations, and community partners to secure worksite tours, job shadowing experiences, internships, and other opportunities.
• Coordinate and schedule worksite tours and workplace learning activities ensuring accessibility and alignment with Pre-ETS objectives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field

1 year of relevant work experience in human services

Experience developing employer partnerships

Experience coordinating work-based learning

Experience with education or vocational rehabilitation services
