Smart Staffing Group in Poughkeepsie, NY is seeking a The Pre-ETS Coordinator to assist students with disabilities ages 14-21 in career development and educational planning. The role guides employment readiness and develops soft skills aligned with each student’s strengths and goals.

Ideal candidates will deliver a range of trainings, build partnerships with districts and families, and maintain progress documentation.

Qualifications

Associate degree or related Human Services experience.
Experience working with students with disabilities.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver Pre-ETS trainings including job exploration, readiness, self-advocacy, work-based learning, and post-secondary counseling.
Develop relationships with students, school personnel (special education and transitional coordinators), family members, and community partners.
Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and submit progress reports.
Conduct job exploration activities.
Instruct students in informed decision-making and interpersonal, education, and vocational skills.
Assess student strengths and self-advocacy related to disability.
Be highly organized and able to work independently.
Recruit and enroll up to 250 students per year.
Multitask while delivering instruction and supporting trainings.
Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
Establish relationships with schools and community partners.
Present yourself as a professional in school and work environments.
