Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field.
• Equivalency/Substitution: 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
• Three years classroom teaching experience for youth with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify Pre-Employment Transition curriculum and activities based on WIOA indicators.
• Prepare lesson plans, materials, and supplies.
• Provide and gather feedback on curriculum for redesign and improvement.
• Develop individualized hands-on work-based experiences for students.
• Teach with classroom management responsibilities.
• Market and recruit school partners; travel to schools as needed.
• Identify the needs of school districts regarding Special Education Transition.
• Recruit and enroll eligible youth for Pre-ETS projects and activities.
• Market the project to external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agency partners (DRS, counselors, school staff).
• Maintain confidential student data and regular progress updates for leadership reports.
• Monitor course logistics and project scope; attend out-of-town events as needed.
• Must have valid driver's license and a vehicle for travel.
• Resourceful and creative teaching approaches; adapt curriculum to audience needs.
• Build positive relationships and provide excellent customer service with students, teachers, parents, and community members.
• Ability to interview, investigate, and document decisions; provide technical assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
