Job summary

Southern Oregon Education Service District is seeking a Youth Employment Services Specialist to collaborate with high school teams and VR counselors to deliver enhanced Pre-ETS and Youth Employment Services for eligible students in Jackson County. The role focuses on transition planning, post-secondary planning and meaningful employment outcomes.

You will work with families, staff and community partners to implement transition services, evaluate progress, and maintain vocational records, while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Three years in a transition program or related youth services preferred.
• Knowledge of transition services, vocational training and WIOA guidelines helpful.
• CPR and first aid certification required.
• Valid Oregon Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students to evaluate and improve self-help, communication, social, behavioral, academic, vocational and independent living skills.
• Collaborate with IEP teams to identify transition needs.
• Develop and deliver Pre-ETS and YES services based on participant needs and available resources.
• Establish and monitor school and community-based work experiences.
