Job summary

ServiceSource in Utah is seeking a dedicated staff member to implement pre-employment transition opportunities for high school students with disabilities. You will assess strengths, plan instructional activities, and guide students through resumes, applications, and workplace readiness to facilitate transition from school.

Responsibilities include delivering curriculum, providing job coaching, building partnerships with schools and employers, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; relevant degrees preferred or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities required.
• Experience with transitioning students and/or young adults with disabilities or transferable work experience.
• Background in public speaking, training, or teaching is preferred.
• Ability to develop partnerships with employers and postsecondary institutions.

Responsibilities

• Assess transitioning students’ strengths, barriers, skills and interests across transition areas.
• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities and specialized curriculum for transition from high school.
• Provide job coaching supports to participants with disabilities in employment settings.
• Seek feedback from participants and support teams to update curriculum topics.
• Develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies, schools, businesses and other partners.
