Job summary

Public Consulting Group (PCG) seeks an on-site instructor to deliver direct instruction to students in employability areas such as communication, life skills, and pre-employment skills. You will identify and build on each student’s strengths, interests, and abilities related to employment, and help develop a portfolio with certificates and letters of recommendation.

The role follows the school calendar (180-185 days) with potential summer opportunities.

Qualifications

• Instructors identify and increase a student’s strengths, interests, and abilities related to employment skills.
• Teach employability topics such as communication, resume writing, interview skills, and job search.
• Assist students in developing portfolios with skills certificates and letters of recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Assess student learning strengths and areas for development.
• Develop goals and outcomes with student input.
• Instruct students on employability skills (communication, technology, problem solving, teamwork, professionalism).
• Assist students in creating a portfolio of skills and resumes.
• Monitor and record attendance and progress in class and at work sites.
• Provide transportation training and guidance on accessing public or private transport.
